ABOUT

About me

I graduated from Delaware Technical College with a degree in Architectural Engineering in 2007. I graduated with honors as Phi Theta Kappa. Dr. Doug Hicks, the Engineering Department head, thought of me as one of his best and finest in the department. The Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department in Delaware commissioned the Architectural Design Studio to design their new Fire Department building. I was involved in the design and future construction of the new building in Dagsboro, DE.

While in college, I worked as Surveying CAD drafter for the State of Delaware at the Department of Natural Resources and Conservative Energy. I expanded my range of skills and knowledge in the conservation of resources by providing detailed drawings and outlines using geographical information systems and AutoCAD programs.

Upon completion of college, I received a letter of recommendation from the President of the company siting my excellent work ethic, precision, and compassion for CAD.

In Colorado, I have enjoyed doing freelance CAD to diversify my skills as now an entrepreneur. Some of the companies include:
• Cloud9 out of Tucson, AZ creating 2d/3d renderings of microphones
• Various Interior Designers commissioned to develop floorplans, kitchen designs, and remodels
• Updating job sites of lighting and electrical components for a local Colorado electrical company, Radiant Lighting Services.

I decided to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at Metropolitan State University of Denver. I gained skills in manufacturing processes, materials and methods, ideation, design, Adobe Creative suites (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign), SolidWorks modeling, and creative model-making.

I wanted to stay up to date on new technologies, so I attended Front Range Community College for a couple courses in Web Design and CAD. Learning new CAD rendering programs such as SketchUp, has elevated my desire to do more in the architectural realm. I am now certified in SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, and Architectural drafting.

I am always looking for new hobbies and skills to learn, spending time with family, hiking and camping, writing manuals and documentation for a local high-end RV heating systems company, and now freelance drafting where I can.
